An Introductory Workshop on Building Text Data for the Humanities

This pre-event offers a hands-on workshop on creating digital text data for humanities research.

This workshop provides a practical introduction in Japanese to building text data for the humanities, focusing on methods that comply with the TEI (Text Encoding Initiative) Guidelines, the international de facto standard.
This is a hands-on workshop. All participants are required to bring their own laptop with Wi-Fi connectivity.
Eduroam is available across campus. If you don't have eduroam access, the UOsaka guest Wi-Fi service is also available. Please fill out a paper form at the venue to get access to the guest Wi-Fi at the front desk of the venue.
This workshop is held as part of a project on the development and dissemination of a text data model for East Asia/Japan by the Research Infrastructure Hub for the "R&D Project for the DX of Humanities and Social Sciences," commissioned by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), Japan.

本ワークショップは、人文学のためのテキストデータの構築手法について、国際的なデファクト標準であるTEIガイドラインに準拠した手法を具体的に学ぶためのものです。実際にパソコンを操作して手を動かすワークショップになりますので、参加者は必ず、Wifi接続可能な自分のノートパソコンを持参してください。
WifiはEduroam, ODINS（大阪大学関係者用）, ODINS Guest Wifi（ゲスト用）が用意されています。EduroamとODINSが使えない学外の方は、受付でゲスト用のWifiを申し込んでください。
なお、本ワークショップは、文部科学省委託事業「人文学・社会科学のDX化に向けた研究開発推進事業」研究基盤ハブによる東アジア／日本におけるテキストデータモデルの構築と普及に関わる事業の一環として開催されるものです。
